Providers
Cornerstone Alliance is a physician-hospital organization (PHO) comprised of member healthcare providers. Physicians and ancillary providers join the PHO by completing theCornerstone Alliance, Inc. Application located on this website. Upon receipt of a complete application the Credentialing Committee will verify that the applicant meets the Membership qualifications noted in the Code of Regulations. An initial review of the application is completed by the Credentialing Committee and, if recommending approval, the Committee then submits the application to the Board of Trustees for final action. The provider then has 30 days following Board approval to sign the Cornerstone Alliance, Inc. Membership and Participation Agreement (MPA) and to submit the initial credentialing fee.
The Cornerstone Alliance Code of Regulations and Credentialing Policies are also available for your review. The Payer Contracting Information Sheet details the terms of the provider’s participation in the payer organizations contracted to Cornerstone Alliance. This document also notes the Physician obligations under the MPA, the terms and conditions governing payment-related matters, the role and responsibilities of Cornerstone in the contracting process and Cornerstone obligations under the MPA to seek certain minimum terms in each payer agreement.
Cornerstone Alliance was developed to simplify the contracting process on behalf of providers in the Lima Service Area, consolidate the credentialing process by being delegated by the contracted payer organizations to credential the participating network providers and to arrange various services to assist physician offices in reducing the costs of providing services and/or to generate additional revenues to reduce annual membership dues.
