St. Rita's Employee Legends
Ruby Clark, as a Customer Service Representative for Home Medical Equipment, always showed great compassion towards her customers. One day an elderly gentleman came by to get a walker for his wife, who had broken her hip. He said she had fallen down the front steps and he felt very bad that he had not been able to help her up.

The man was visibly upset and Ruby took the time to listen patiently to the whole story. As she was showing him how to use the walker, she stopped and said, "Can I give you a hug?"

The look on the man's face said it all. "I have not had a hug in years," he said. A co-worker, who witnessed this act said, "I will never forget the look on his face. That moment was beautiful. If we could all only grab that one moment and make someone just a little happier."

Ruby showed Compassion and respect for Human Dignity. It only took seconds to brighten his day and her simple act of kindness made a difference.
