The surgery department at St. Rita's Medical Center provides a full spectrum of specialties, among those are open-heart services. The open heart team is compromised of many members, beginning with pastoral care that supports the needs of the patient and family, and a highly skilled operating room staff of nurses, physicians, physicians' assistants and profusionists, who specialize and maintain a high level of education and training.

Of the ten operating rooms at St. Rita's Medical Center, two of the operating rooms are dedicated to open heart surgery with a committed team of nurses, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week.
