Role of Emergency Department Patient Support Reps

St. Rita's knows that a visit to the emergency department (ED) can be a time of anxiety. That's why we have specially trained Patient Support Representatives available to help patients and their families during an emergency department visit. These ED team members help perform those "extra little" duties that mean so much to a patient's comfort level or to the family's wellbeing. Patient Support Reps relay information between the patient/family and other ED team members, assist with telephone calls and directions, offer snacks and beverages, help with transfers to treatment areas and respond promptly to requests or concerns. Anticipating the needs of patients and their families is a key responsibility of ED Patient Support Reps. These team members help ensure quality service and compassionate emergency care are part of every visit, which are core values of St. Rita's Medical Center.

Should you or a member of your family need emergency services, know that St. Rita's emergency department team is ready—24 hours a day, seven days a week, to meet your critical medical needs.
