Q. How long can I expect to be in the hospital? A. You may enjoy a stay at St. Rita’s for up to 48-hours after a normal vaginal delivery and from 48 to 72-hours after a C-section (Cesarean) birth. Q. What are the visiting hours? A. General visiting hours are from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Siblings of the new baby may visit at anytime providing they have someone to accompany them. The support person is welcome to stay with the mother during her hospitalization, as a recliner chair or a roll-out cot is available. Q. Who will help me with breastfeeding? A. St. Rita’s has two Certified Lactation Consultants on staff and one of them is available each day to assist you. All of our nurses are also available to help you. After you go home, the lactation consultants are also available to assist and support your breastfeeding efforts at St. Rita’s walk-in Breastfeeding Clinic held once a week. Contact Call A Nurse at (419) 226-9000 or (800) 437-4827 for more information about the clinic. |
