Cancer Services Prostate For the past 10 years, St. Rita's and area physicians have provided free prostate screenings. Starting with only one site, the effort now conducts screenings at five sites reaching over 700 men annually, with a special emphasis on those at higher risk. A team of minority men volunteers their time to give presentations to appropriate groups in the community as well as appearing on regional media. The prostrate screenings include both DRE and PSA exams. The physicians volunteer their time and St. Rita's underwrites all other costs. There are many men in this area who are living a full life, thanks in part, to increased prostate cancer awareness and early detection.
