Trauma Overview

At St. Rita's Medical Center , our highly skilled trauma team offers treatment in a Level II Trauma Center seven days a week, 24 hours a day. This team consist of physicians, nurses and technicians trained in all aspects of emergency and trauma care. When appropriate, Board Certified physicians trained in the following areas are available:

  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Anesthesiology
  • Radiology
  • Pediatrics
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Trauma CareTrauma Care at St Rita's is provided for Adult and Pediatric patients in their state of the art facilities, which begins in the Emergency Department and continues throughout the operating suite, ICU, surgical units and onto rehabilitation. Your care will be facilitated by a team of physician specialists working closely with nursing, radiology, respiratory care, nutrition, pharmacists, pastoral care, case managers and social workers to address the complex needs of the trauma patient and their families.

The goal of the trauma team is to provide progressive, efficient trauma care to each patient and family and to facilitate the most expedient return to a healthy lifestyle. The trauma program at St. Rita's is also a leader within the region, state and at a national level to facilitate quality care for trauma patients.
