St. Rita's Medical Center provides comprehensive emergency services and Level II trauma services, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Our board certified physicians and RNs' are trained in critical care, providing the highest quality care to seriously ill or injured patients or those in life-threatening conditions.

Backed with state-of-the-art medical equipment and the full support of all ancillary services including advanced radiology, full laboratory testing and respiratory and pharmacy services, the St. Rita's Emergency Department (ED) team treats all degrees of injury and medical complexities. In addition to meeting the physical needs of patients, St. Rita's staff strives to support the psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients and their families. To meet this goal, St. Rita's has ED Patient Support Representatives that help provide comfort and communications to patients and their families/significant others during their stay.

A special facility within the emergency department is our Clinical Decision and Diagnostic Unit (CDDU). This unit provides a quiet, comfortable space for patients requiring extended observation and/or testing while remaining under the direct supervision of the ED physician and staff.
