Post Offer Testing

What is Post Offer/Pre-Placement Testing?
Post Offer/Pre-Placement testing is the process of testing a new hire's ability to safely perform the essential duties of a job safely before they actually perform the job. By testing new hires the employer can prevent injuries of new employees and assess training needs before injury occurs.

What are the components of a successful Post Offer/Pre-placement Testing process?
There are five pieces to a successful Post Offer/ Pre-placement Testing process:

  • Create Job Descriptions Which Accurately Identify and Define Essential Duties of Every Job
  • Design a Test Which Faithfully Simulates the Duties of the Job
  • Consistently Use the Test For All New Employees
  • Provide Educational Opportunities to Improve the Skills of New Employees
  • Hire a Developer with the Skills and Experience, Like Those Found at St. Rita's
