If detoxification treatment is necessary, it is provided on an inpatient basis only and is designed to help the individual safely withdraw from the physical effects of the abused substance. Detoxification is performed under the close medical supervision of the Addiction Services physicians and backed by the comprehensive medical services of St. Rita's Medical Center.
Patients and their families are also involved in groups that help them understand the nature of the addiction in their lives. The treatment team works to help the patient and their family face the reality of the situation and motivates them to continue treatment.

Admissions to Addiction Services are voluntary and can be requested by a physician, family, employer, community agency, court or self-referral. Admissions are based on established criteria without regard to sex, race, creed, national origin or age. Patients must be interviewed and assessed to determine the appropriate level of treatment in Addiction Services. An appointment with an intake counselor is the first step. |
Recognized as a quality treatment and rehabilitation facility, St. Rita's Addiction Services is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the State of Ohio.
