St. Rita's Medical Center is a 437-bed acute care hospital in West Central
Ohio. The Medical Center provides inpatient care and outpatient services to
thousands of patients from the 10-county area.
Critical care treatment areas at St. Rita's are made up of the intensive care
unit, intensive care stepdown, coronary care unit and the cardiovascular intensive
care unit. Patients in these areas require careful monitoring and specialized
nursing knowledge.
Nurses caring for patients in these areas have all completed extensive and
advanced training in critical care nursing and have received certification
in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). These critical care units are prepared
to meet the unique needs of the patient and their family as the patient recovers
from open-heart surgery, illness, injury or a complicated surgery.
