St. Rita's Career Resource Center provides assistance to employees for career
counseling, job searching and career development. In the area of career development,
The Center offers a broad range of computer classes and computer based learning
(CBL) programs. The Center offers basic computer classes in Windows, Word,
Excel and other programs taught by qualified instructors. The Center also provides
computer based learning programs that allow employees to self-enroll in courses
and work at their own pace to complete course work.
St. Rita's subscribes to NetLearning and eMedicine on-line services that provide
information and free continuing education (CE) credits for physicians, nurses
and other allied health professionals. NetLearning offers free access to content
from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services. Over 30 CE courses are available from the CDC and 18 courses
(16 courses in English and two courses in Spanish) are available from the Centers
for Medicare and Medicaid Services. NetLearning's partnership with eMedicine
provides current information on diagnosis, treatment and management for over
200 disorders. Staff members can obtain reliable answers to clinical questions
quickly through these on-line resources.
