I Can Cope is
an educational support group and class developed by the American Cancer
Society. It is designed for patients facing cancer and their caregivers
and offers information and insight to deal with the issues a cancer diagnosis
can bring. The I Can Cope program consists of four sessions addressing topics
such as:

Understanding the Effects of Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy

Coping with Emotions and Feelings
-
Nutritional Needs During Cancer Treatment
-
Pain Management
- Insurance
and Legal Issues
- Resources
Available to Assist
The
I Can Cope support group meets in the spring and in the fall of each year.
Currently, St. Rita’s offers the classes in the fall and Lima Memorial
sponsors the spring classes. |
